Jenna graduated from F.I.T with a degree in Fashion Design. She started her career working for the high-end Accessory Brand, Isabella Fiore and later moved into Product Design for Nine West. She had always loved baking cookies with her Grandma at a young age but it was after making many birthday cakes for her coworkers that she realized her true passion was in creating edible works of art. She decided to pursue her dream further and went on to study at The French Culinary getting a degree in Pastry Arts. Today, Jenna is a mother of two and continues to make her specialty cakes and cookies for her clients through her business Cake Designs by Jenna.
In this beginner fondant class, you will learn to fill and ice a 6" round cake with Italian Meringue Buttercream (provided by the instructor) and cover the cake with fondant. This class will also cover how to use molds for decorative borders and appliqués, how to make a fondant Rose, Ribbon Roses, and a Bow. She will introduce you to edible metallic sprays and paints as well as other simple techniques to help make your cakes Pop. You will go home with a beautiful cake to share with your friends or family.
